She specializes in helping children, teens, and adults navigate challenges related to trauma, emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, relationships, and behavioral concerns. Her approach is collaborative, client-centered, and rooted in the belief that healing happens when we feel safe, seen, and empowered to grow.
Kari’s Approach & Philosophy
Kari draws from a wide range of evidence-based approaches, thoughtfully tailored to each individual. Her work is informed by EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Sand Tray Therapy, Play Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). She brings a holistic, trauma-informed lens to every session—honoring each client’s pace and lived experience. Kari is also trained in Ketamine-Assisted Therapy (KAT) through Redemption Psychiatry, and offers integrative therapy support for clients receiving ketamine treatment at that clinic.Whether working with children through creative play or guiding adults through deep inner work, Kari helps clients connect to their emotions, increase resilience, and build lasting change.

Professional Experience
Kari has worked in outpatient clinics, residential programs, schools, child protective services, domestic violence shelters, with individuals with special needs, and in community mental health agencies. She provides therapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Kari is known for building strong therapeutic relationships and helping clients move forward at a pace that feels respectful and manageable.
Personal Note
Originally from Utah, Kari moved to Arizona in 2014 and now calls it home. She’s passionate about whole-person wellness, including nutrition, yoga, hiking, dancing, and travel. A proud mom of two, she brings warmth, wisdom, and calm energy to the therapy space—and someday hopes to ride in a hot air balloon and pet a penguin.
Rates & Insurance
- Individual sessions (50 min): $150
- Kari is not in-network with insurance providers. However, she can provide a Superbill for clients to submit to their insurance if they have out-of-network benefits.
