Angela Allen, LPC holds a Masters degree in counseling and is a licensed professional counselor in Arizona. She uses a person-centered approach to therapy and believes each individual has the capacity for self-understanding and healing when given the proper tools. Angela uses a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, EMDR, emotionally focused therapy and expressive arts/music therapy. She also believes a spiritual approach is beneficial when appropriate.
Angela specializes in working with teens and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationships, partners of addicts, codependency, self-esteem and self-harm. She has worked with patients both inside and out of the hospital setting. She runs intensive outpatient groups for adolescents and feels a special connection to teens.
Angela also has an understanding of sexual/pornography addiction and the difficulties these addictions can cause in a relationship.
Angie has two sons and enjoys spending time with them and her sweet husband.
